Named after a gift of love, the Shalimar Gardens of India, we brought an exotic taste to Nashville - one that you helped us preserve in Green Hills since 1990.
"Venerable Green Hills-area restaurant 'Shalimar' introduced a generation of Nashvillians to Indian food and remains unsurpassed in the genre for overall quality of both food and presentation. It’s a small room, which adds to the intimacy, and often draws mention as one of the city’s most romantic dinner spots. Recommended dishes include chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori and lamb curry entrées, plus a number of vegetarian dishes. (You can specify the degree of spiciness for many of the entrées). Nashville's finest Indian cuisine is open 6 days a week and is open on Sundays for private parties only. Please understand that we adhere to a BYOB (bring-your-own-beverage) policy. No alcohol is served inside the restaurant, although various beverages are available. We encourage you to try any of our renowned lassis and/or tea as alternatives to alcoholic beverages. Reservations are highly recommended on Fridays and Saturdays.
