"Venerable Green Hills-area restaurant 'Shalimar' introduced a generation of Nashvillians to Indian food and remains unsurpassed in the genre for overall quality of both food and presentation. It’s a small room, which adds to the intimacy, and often draws mention as one of the city’s most romantic dinner spots. Recommended dishes include chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori and lamb curry entrées, plus a number of vegetarian dishes. (You can specify the degree of spiciness for many of the entrées). The basmati rice that accompanies the entrées is bountiful and cooked perfectly. Many of Shalimar’s specialties are included in the popular all-you-care-to-eat lunch buffet."

Nashville's finest Indian cuisine is open 7 days a week - please see timings below. Please understand that we adhere to a BYOB (bring-your-own-beverage) policy. No alcohol is served inside the restaurant, although various non-alcoholic beverages are available. We encourage you to try any of our renowned lassis and/or tea as alternatives. Reservations are highly recommended on Fridays and Saturdays.
